The Bandung City Transportation Service (Dishub) has arrested four illegal parking attendants who were caught making illegal levies in the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque area, Bandung, West Java, during the long holidays of Isra Mikraj and Imlek 2025.

The Head of the Bandung City Transportation Agency, Asep Kuswara, said that his party had handed over the perpetrators to Saber Pungli West Java because they were proven to have parked at an unreasonable rate.

"They carried out extortion and parked Rp10 thousand next to the Al Jabbar Mosque. In total there were four illegal parking attendants who we took action and immediately secured Saber Pungli West Java," said Asep in Bandung, Antara, Tuesday, January 28.

The parking rate in Bandung City has been regulated in Mayor Regulation (Perwal) Number 66 of 2021, he said, four-wheeled vehicles are pegged at IDR 5,000 per hour and two wheels are only IDR 3 thousand per hour.

In addition to the tariff that is not in accordance with the perwal, he continued, the perpetrators used tickets that were not supposed to collect parking rates in the Al Jabbar Mosque area.

"The card used was used at the GBLA Stadium, but was used at Al Jabbar. In fact, the ticket should have been used in August, but was only used yesterday," he said.

In addition, his party will also supervise by deploying personnel at various points to anticipate the practice of illegal parking in the city of Bandung.

Asep has instructed his personnel to provide counseling on parking tariff rules to the official parking attendant of the Bandung City Transportation Agency.

"We continue to tighten supervision and will not tolerate illegal parking practices by official parking attendants from the Bandung City Transportation Agency," said Asep.
