JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk, Syahmudrian Lubis, said his party was studying a new special tariff scheme in certain areas after the inauguration of the pedestrian bridge (JPO) connecting the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) area with Ancol.

"For the tariff, we are currently conducting a suatureview for parts of Ancol that we may not have a tariff for people, but there is a special zone where it will be implemented for parking only. People are no longer charged to enter there," explained Syahmudriandi at the JIS Station, Monday (22/6).

However, he said that later visitors would still be charged an existing ticket to enter the ride.

Syahmudrian said the plan was still being studied. Currently, his party is still charging a per-car tariff.

"But for certain moments, we will have a special rate, such as today, we will free all visitors who will come to Ancol. The same is true for the 27th and 28th," said Syahmudrian.

As is known, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung Wibowo together with the Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi has inaugurated the JIS and JPO LRT Stations which connect the JIS area with Ancol.

Pramonomengaku was happy with the inauguration of the station and the bridge. According to him, the station and JPO are one of his dreams that have come true for the capital.

He also hopes that the presence of the KRLJIS and JPO stations which connect the JIS area with Ancol can overcome transportation problems in the area.

Pramono also assessed that the presence of KRL and Transjabodetabek in the area could reduce traffic density around JIS and Ancol.

In fact, he said, people who bring their own vehicles can circle their vehicles in Ancol and walk to JIS by taking the JPO that connects the two places.

"This will reduce a lot of traffic, which has been a problem if there are concerts or football matches," said Pramono.
