SORONG - Head of Sub-Division of Finance and Administration of Domine Eduard Osok Airport (DEO) Sorong, Southwest Papua, Warso said that the receipt of vehicle parking fees in the airport area is estimated at IDR 80 to IDR 100 million per month.
The application of parking fees in the DEO Airport area is Rp. 5,000 for four-wheeled vehicles and two-wheeled vehicles is Rp. 3,000.
"The income from the parking retribution depends on the entry and exit of vehicles in the airport area, if more and more vehicles enter, of course it will have an impact on income," said Warso in Sorong, Antara, Wednesday, January 23.
Until now, there has been no application of special parking mode which allows every time parking costs increase.
"We are still normal, so if we park for two to three days we still pay Rp. 3,000 or Rp. 5,000 when we leave the airport," he said.
Part of the parking retribution income is used for operational payments such as employee salaries which reach Rp. 30 million.
In order to improve service quality, DEO Sorong Airport plans to implement a non-cash parking payment system on February 1, 2025 using digital payment applications such as QRIS.
"Currently we are still doing the trial stage while conducting an evaluation to support the establishment of the implementation," he said.
