Ronald Tannur's Bribery-Gratification Case, AGO Secures Former Surabaya District Court Chair

JAKARTA - The former chairman of the Surabaya District Court, Rudi Suparmono, is said to have been secured by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) in connection with the alleged bribery and gratification case of Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal.

The Head of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, who confirmed the matter, did not justify or straightforwardly deny the arrest of Rudi Suparmono.

It was only conveyed when in the series of investigations into the alleged bribery and gratification case of Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal, Rudi Suparmono's status was still a witness.

"Be patient because his status is not yet a suspect," said Harli.

Previously, Harli had mentioned the possibility of the examination of the former chairman of the Surabaya District Court. It is said, it can be done if there is an investigation progress.

"Unless there are developments whose urgency requires information in question," said Harli.

Rudi Suparno is known to have received an evil amount of 20 thousand Singapore dollars or Rp. 237.87 million in the case of alleged bribery and gratification of Gregorius Ronald Tannur's acquittal.

The money ration was a gift from Lisa Rachmat. The money was handed over through Erintuah Damanik as the judge who handled the Ronalad Tannur case.

However, from the facts of the investigation, Rudi Suparmono had not received the money. This is because the money is still in Erintuah Damanik.

Rudi Suparno is also known to have been sanctioned by the Supreme Court (MA) in connection with the case. The former chairman of the Surabaya District Court was declared to have committed a serious disciplinary violation. So he was sentenced to 2 years of non-fake sanctions.
