JAKARTA - The Bali Provincial Government will record the cultural wealth and local wisdom that exist in each traditional village through the Census of the Sat Kerthi Semesta Bali Based on Traditional Villages.

"This census is also an effort to develop and empower traditional villages that are closely related to Balinese cultural values," said the Head of the Bali Province Communication, Informatics and Statistics (Kominfos) Office Gede Pramana in Denpasar, as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 17.

He added that the census was carried out based on Law No. 23/2014 on Regional Government, Law no. 6/2014 concerning Villages and Bali Provincial Regulation Number 4 of 2019 concerning Traditional Villages in Bali.

"This is motivated by the fact that customary villages have territory, rights of origin, traditional rights, original composition, and original autonomy to organize and manage their own households," he said while socializing the census to customary villages in Gianyar, Klungkung, Karangasem regencies , and Denpasar City virtually.

He explained that the development of Bali includes three main aspects, namely nature, manners, and Balinese culture based on the Tri Hita Karana which is rooted in the local wisdom of Sat Kerthi. The implementation of the census becomes the basis for policy making and the development of the potential of traditional villages.

The Sat Kerthi Semesta Bali census includes data collection of parahyangan (including temples, sacred objects), palemahan (including natural resources, accommodation, educational facilities, health) and pawongan (including residents, sulinggih, labor) in 1,493 traditional villages in Bali. , which later will determine the availability of a system and database of customary village resources.

The results of census data collection will be presented in the form of a monitoring dashboard and integrated in a digital map of Bali Province which can be accessed at sensusadat.baliprov.go.id, sso.baliprov.go.id, and sikuat.baliprov.go.id

Head of the Bali Province Regional Research and Innovation Agency I Made Gunaja added that when collecting data in the field, the manual instruments were filled in first before inputting into the census application, this was to minimize errors and corrections,

He said the involvement of DPOs in the field was because the data was specific so that to facilitate input, socialization was carried out through three methods, namely virtually, in stages through face-to-face meetings in 57 sub-districts, video tutorials via YouTube and intensive coordination with census teams in districts.

"During a pandemic, of course there will be obstacles so that everything will not necessarily run as conducive as we expect, with the existence of various models of traditional villages that have different characteristics and mastery of IT by census officers will certainly have the potential to become an obstacle in filling out instruments (data input). ), "he said.

In addition, there is the possibility of poor signal connection interference, so it is necessary to coordinate the implementation of the census carefully as well as facilitate the internet network to upload data in the census application, with the aim of helping to publish census activities to the public.

Furthermore, population data collection is required to coordinate between official and customary villages in the success of the census. In addition to providing assistance and providing data for traditional villages related to arts, customs and culture.

This census will support the vision and mission of the Governor and Deputy Governor of Bali in the discourse of strengthening the position, duties and functions of traditional villages in carrying out Balinese krama life which includes parahyangan, pawongan, and palemahan.
