Goodbye Arinal Djunaidi, Mirza-Jihan Appointed As Elected Governors-Deputy Governors Of Lampung

BANDARLAMPUNG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Lampung Province has appointed the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Lampung Rahmat Mirzani Djausal-Jihan Nurlela as Governor and Deputy Governor of Lampung Elected in the 2024 Pilkada.

"Tonight, the decision of the Lampung Provincial KPU number 7 of 2025 concerning the Determination of Candidate Pairs for Governor and Deputy Governor Elected in the 2024 simultaneous elections in Lampung," said Lampung KPU chairman Erwan Bustami as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 9.

Erwan said that based on the decision letter of the Lampung Provincial KPU number 7 of 2025, the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor number two on behalf of Rahmat Mirzani Djausal and Jihan Nurlela were appointed as Governor and Deputy Governor of Elect Lampung for the period 2025-2030.

Rahmat Mirzani Djausal and Jihan Nurlela excel in the 2024 Lampung Pilkada, after obtaining 3,300,681 votes or 82.69 percent of the total valid votes in Lampung Province.

The nine political parties include the Gerindra Party, PKB, NasDem, PKS, PAN, Golkar, Democrats, PSI, and the Labor Party.

The pair beat incumbent Arinal Djunaidi-Sutono.

"This is set for Thursday 9 January 2025 at 20.45 WIB in Bandarlampung. And tomorrow the Lampung Provincial KPU will submit a decree, minutes, and a letter of ratification as well as the inauguration of the Elected Governor and Deputy Governor Candidates to the Lampung Provincial DPRD," he said.

He said that no later than five days after all the letters were received by the Lampung Provincial DPRD, the Lampung Provincial DPRD was obliged to convey to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs.
