Two Shooting Victims In Tangerang-Merak Toll Rest Area Are Car Rental Owners

TANGERANG - Police revealed that two shooting victims in the KM 45 area of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, Tangerang Regency are car rental owners.

"Yes, it's true that the rental owner," said Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang Police, Ipda Purbawa when confirmed, Thursday, January 2.

Purbawa explained that the incident began when the victim got out of the car. Then the perpetrator immediately shot the victim, causing one person to die.

"They got out of the car, (then) there was a shooting," he said.

From the results of the interim examination, Ipda Purbawa said the shooter was using an SUV. Currently, continued, the police are still investigating.

"Still in pursuit, investigators are still conducting a series of investigations to collect evidence," he said.

Ditambahkan, Kasat Reskrim Polresta Tangerang, Kompol Arief mengatakan aksi penembakan itu diduga didasarkan penggelapan mobil.

The perpetrator is said to have brought the victim's car. Then the victim tried to track the car.

The chase ended at the Km 45 rest area of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. Then, that's when the shooting was carried out to kill the victim.

The perpetrator allegedly decided to track the vehicle in Pandeglang. After tracking and chasing, the witness found his family's orange Brio car in front of Indomaret rest area KM 45. When the car was blocked, the perpetrator suddenly shot brutally and injured two victims," he said.

He added, from the results of the crime scene, the police found evidence in the form of five 9 mm bullet casings and a yellow Brio car.
