KPK: Summons Hasto Wait For Complete Investigation Files

JAKARTA - Director of Investigation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Asep Guntur Rahayu said the summons to the Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto (HK) was still waiting for the completeness of the investigation files.

"So if we want to check someone, we have to have materials, both what we will ask, as well as what we will explain," said Asep, Monday, December 30.

Asep explained that investigators would generally summon witnesses before finally summoning the suspect to be examined.

"So it also answers the question why if you check the suspect likes it later. So we first collect information from other witnesses, first collect the existing documents, so that later we don't have any piece of information," he said.

KPK investigators on Tuesday (24/12) named two new suspects in the Harun Masiku case series, namely PDI-P (PDIP) Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto (HK) and advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah (DTI).

KPK chairman Setyo Budiyanto revealed that HK regulates and controls DTI to lobby KPU member Wahyu Setiawan in order to appoint Harun Masiku as a member of the DPR RI elected from the South Sumatra electoral district I.

HK is also known to regulate and control DTI to actively take and deliver bribes to be handed over to Wahyu Setiawan through PDIP cadre Agustiani Tio Fridelina.

"HK together with Harun Masiku, Saeful Bahri, and DTI bribed Wahyu Setiawan and Agustiani Tio Fridelina for 19,000 Singapore dollars and 38,350 US dollars in the period 16 December 2019-23 December 2019 so that Harun Masiku can be appointed as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period from the South Sumatra electoral district," said Setyo.

Harun Masiku has been named by the KPK as a suspect in the case of alleged giving gifts or promises to state officials related to the determination of candidates for elected DPR members for the 2019-2024 period at the General Election Commission (KPU).

But Harun Masiku has always been absent from the summons of KPK investigators to be included in the wanted list (DPO) since January 17, 2020.

Apart from Harun, the other parties involved in the case were members of the General Election Commission (KPU) for the 2017-2022 period, Wahyu Setiawan.

Wahyu Setiawan who is also convicted in the same case as Harun Masiku. Currently serving a conditional release from being sentenced to seven years in prison at the Class I Penitentiary Kedungpane Semarang, Central Java.
