Hamas Rejects Israeli Media Reports On The Murder Of Late Ismail Haniyeh

JAKARTA - Palestinian militant group Hamas rejected Israeli media reports of the murder of Hamas Political Bureau Head Ismail Haniyeh, calling it a false claim about how to kill in Tehran, Iran.

In a statement, Hamas said they completely rejected all the lies of the Zionist regime published Sunday, especially what they claimed were details of the late Haniyeh's murder operations.

Hamas stressed that a joint investigation between its security agency and Iranian security forces showed the terror operation was carried out with a missile weighing 7.5 kg of explosives. These guided missiles immediately targeted Haniyeh's martyred cell phone.

The claims made by the Zionist regime are just a desperate attempt to divert public opinion of this layered crime, which has clearly violated the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and targeted one of the country's official headquarters, Hamas said.

Earlier, Israel's Channel 12 released the latest report on the killing of Haniyeh, which it claimed was carried out after obtaining permission from the military.

According to an investigation claimed by Israel's Channel 12, Haniyeh was seen several times at the same scene of the murder in Tehran.

The report said the bomb was placed in the room Haniyeh used before the inauguration of Iran's new president.

On the night of Haniyeh's murder, the room matching system (AC) in his room was not working, which could cause the operation to fail. However, that damage can then be repaired.

Ismail Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were later killed after their place spent the night being targeted in Tehran on July 31, according to a statement released by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In a statement, the IRGC said the murder of Ismail Haniyeh was "designed and carried out by the Zionist regime and supported by the American criminal government."
