BPK Finds Disadvantaged Shopping Realization At North Sulawesi KPU, Bolaang Mongondow, And Sangihe

Representatives of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) revealed that there was a discrepancy in the realization of goods expenditures by the North Sulawesi Provincial KPU, the Sangihe Islands Regency KPU, and the Bolaang Mongondow Regency KPU.

"The purchase of goods realized by the North Sulawesi Provincial KPU, the Bolaang Mongondow Regency KPU, and the Sangihe Islands Regency KPU are not in accordance with the facts on the ground. This resulted in an overpayment of expenditure accountability that did not meet the provisions," said Arief Fadillah, Head of the North Sulawesi BPK Representative, in Manado, Monday, as quoted by ANTARA.

Arief also explained that another significant problem was found in the examination of compliance with the 2024 election financial management for the period 2023 to the first semester of 2024.

One of these findings is the discrepancy in the realization of the operational expenditure of the adhoc agency at the KPU of Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the KPU of Sangihe Islands Regency.

"This causes the accountability of spending to be verifiable convincingly," he added.

However, Arief emphasized that compliance checks for the financial management of the 2024 General Election in the North Sulawesi Province, apart from the significant problems that have been stated, have generally been implemented in accordance with the provisions in the material aspect.

Responding to these findings, the North Sulawesi KPU is committed to immediately following up on the results of the BPK examination related to the financial management of the 2024 General Election in the period 2023 to the first semester of 2024.

"The inspection process in the three regions has gone well. We will follow up on all the findings and recommendations given," said the chairman of the North Sulawesi KPU, Kenly Poluan.

Kenly also stated that his party would try to control BPK's recommendations so that similar problems do not happen again.

The Audit Result Report (LHP) for compliance and performance in the second semester of 2024 was submitted by BPK North Sulawesi to a number of entities, including the KPU, to be followed up according to recommendations.
