SAMARINDA - The East Kalimantan Provincial Government is ready to collaborate with PT Panen Lestari Mahkota Nusantara (Parimanta) regarding the implementation of subsidized fuel cards.

Acting Governor Akmal Malik in Samarinda, Saturday, said the Parimanta company offered a cooperation in issuing cards to control subsidized fuel, which has been implemented in several provinces in the country. One of them is the Riau Islands Province (Kepri) and is followed by all its cities.

"One of the things that is interesting for us is that through this card, we can trigger vehicles that have not been detected so far, they will definitely appear, because later the payment will be based on those who pay the vehicle tax," explained Akmal Malik after receiving the PT Parimanta audience.

With this special card, those who pay taxes get fuel subsidies. That is, if this is the case, it will certainly trigger residents to pay their car taxes, and this will make them more tax-abiding.

"For us, this is very profitable because we are implementing tax intensification, and we have lowered the price of motor vehicle taxes. With this card, of course, it will encourage residents to be more obedient to taxes, because all vehicles need subsidized fuel, meaning they have certainty for subsidized fuel filling, and this cannot be manipulated because he uses an ATM card," said Akmal Malik.

The second advantage, by implementing a subsidized energy card, continued Akmal Malik, is also connected to Bankaltimtara, because the transaction uses Bankaltimtara.

"We want the transaction to use Bankaltimtara and of course this will benefit our BUMD. God willing, next week it will be a cooperation agreement (PKS) between the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the ranks of PT Parimanta," he said.

However, before the PKS was implemented, said the Director General of Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the relevant OPD was asked to immediately hold meetings and steps needed to be taken to identify the benefits obtained as well as the risks later.

The leadership of PT Parimanta, Siddharta Siddhi, accompanied by the Managing Director of PT Parimanta Mia Yuanita, Executive Director Supriyono, General Manager Andin Hanindito, and Advisor of PT Parimanta Heru Cahyono, explained the plan to use a card aimed at simplifying the process of filling fuel at gas stations and reducing long queues.

He added that Riau Islands Province has been implemented for more than two years, and has received an innovative government award in 2023 from the Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BSKDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and asked for adoption from other provinces because it was considered good.
