The office shop (Rukan) of Bank BRI located in the Taman Buaran Indah 1 area, Jalan Buaran Raya A No.88, RT 01/14, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, caught fire on Sunday, December 29, evening.

The flames scorched the 3rd-story shop with a burned area measuring 20 x 6 meters. The building belongs to Bank BRI.

"The burning unit of the BRI Buaran Bank branch. The hotspots are not yet known, it is still under investigation," said East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Officer Gunawan to reporters, Sunday, December 29, evening.

According to witness testimony, the security guard first discovered smoke on the 2nd floor of the shophouse.

Then the security guard thought that the smoke came from the kitchen room of the Pempek kiosk. However, after checking, it turned out that the source of smoke from the archive warehouse on the 2nd floor.

Then the security guard reported the fire incident to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. A total of 13 fire engines were dispatched to the fire site.

At least 60 firefighters were also deployed to extinguish the fire. The fire was extinguished at around 22.15 WIB.

"The assumption is electricity. What caught fire was the archives at Bank BRI," he said.

As a result of the fire, the loss was estimated at Rp. 950 million. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of this incident.
