The Case of Bakery Boss's Son Who Abused Former Employee Went Viral, He Was So Scared He Went to Sukabumi

JAKARTA – George or GSH, the perpetrator of the assault on the Lindayes bakery employee admitted to going to Sukabumi, West Java to calm down. The perpetrator felt scared because of what he did.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said that the reason George was at a hotel in Sukabumi, West Java was to calm down. And at that time George was arrested in the hotel room.

"They (the family) went to Sukabumi to calm down with the reported party (GSH), because this case made them very scared, they felt threatened if they were still in his house," said Senior Commissioner Nicolas to reporters, Monday, December 16.

Furthermore, Senior Commissioner Nicolas said that his party knew the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator in Sukabumi based on information from the parents of the alleged perpetrator.

"The summons to the reported party's brother because the status has been raised to the investigation stage so we sent a letter and it turned out that his parents told investigators that the person concerned was at the Anugrah Hotel, Sukabumi," he said.

After finding out the victim's whereabouts in Sukabumi, the Metro Jaya Police (Polda) and Criminal Investigation Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police visited the alleged perpetrator.

"So that's where the investigators communicated to carry out the existing investigation processes. Furthermore, at the request of the family, the investigators picked up the family and together with the reported brother at the Anugrah Hotel, Sukabumi on Monday morning," he said.

Furthermore, his party took steps in accordance with the applicable SOP in the investigation process, the law enforcement process.

Kombes Nicolas said that the abuse case occurred on October 17, 2024, and the victim (reporter) DAD reported the case on October 18, 2024.

"We convey that the process, when it was reported, was not a case of being caught red-handed, but a general criminal case. Thus, we as investigators are carrying out the stages in the law enforcement process," he said.

The police have also asked for information from witnesses, including the reported George to clarify the abuse incident.
