Romahurmuziy: PPP Management Must Apologize Chivalrically

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PPP DPP Advisory Council Muhammad Romahurmuziy said the call for "nasuhah's relatives" was not addressed personally, but to all PPP DPP administrators to apologize chirally for failing to bring the political party into Senayan.

"When I conveyed the call for 'nature relations', it was addressed to all levels of the DPP. Why? Because this is the first time this has been the 11 elections that have been participated; PPP has not entered Senayan," said Romy, Romahurmuziy's nickname, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 14.

According to him, the DPP administrators must apologize publicly to party cadres and sympathizers throughout Indonesia, for failing to bring the party bearing the Kaaba into the DPR RI.

For this reason, said Romy, the DPP must also be able to prepare cadres and open themselves up to the presence of new leadership candidates in the PPP body.

In addition, administrators are also required to evaluate performance during the 2024 General Election and the 2024 simultaneous regional elections so that what is the failure of the party does not happen again in the upcoming elections.

Romy continued, nationally for the district/city level, party votes are still at more than 8 million, but the votes in the DPR RI are only 5.8 million.

"For other parties, the Indonesian vote is much bigger than the district/city vote. This means that there is a failure at the level of the Party Central Leadership Council which must be used as material for introspection," he said.

Previously, Plt. Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Muhamad Mardiono admitted that he was not allergic to criticism and evaluation of his achievements in the 2024 election which made the political parties not qualify for Senayan.

"I believe from every test and challenges there will always be opportunities to rise stronger in the future," said Mardiono when opening the National Working Conference (Mukernas) II of the PPP DPP.

Mardiono admitted that he was not anti-criticic and allergic to evaluate the defeat in the 2024 election which prevented PPP from entering parliament.

"I am not allergic to evaluations. I am also not allergic to criticism, nor am I allergic to admitting defeat, admitting mistakes because humans are not perfect," he said.
