JAKARTA - Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Azis Syamsuddin proposed the position of deputy minister, after the approval of the merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) with the Ministry of Research and Technology (Kemenristek) became the Ministry of Research. According to him, the addition of the position of wamen is necessary if the merger imposes the Ministry of Education.

"Yes if the heavy burden can be chosen and helped by the wamen. There's no hard work if the person's passion is there and it has to be the right person. His passion is no longer helping the wamen," Azis said at the Parliament Complex on Tuesday, April 13.

Nevertheless, said Azis, the proposed position of minister of the Ministry of Education, is the prerogative of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), as well as the appointment of ministers in a new post, namely the Ministry of Investment.

"That's his authority in the president. Parliament will support later, the supervision will be conducted by Parliament in the working meetings of the commission 1 to 11," said the politician Golkar.

Most importantly, said Azis, the smelting of the ministry should be effective in improving the human development index needed is research and achievement. Because according to him, the index of human development will not increase if the research and development is not running, and who manages is not focused.

"In terms of development, all countries and agencies must strengthen research. So it is appropriate for the president to create a research and investment agency of this country to be made one with the Minister of Education. Moreover, it used to be one, then separated, made into another one. Why? Because the government's focus is now on how to improve the human development index," said the chairman of the House of Representatives Coordinating for Police and Security (Korpolkam).
