Driver's License Extension Now Can Be From Home, Here's How

JAKARTA - Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the application of SINAR (National Precision Driver's License). The presence of this online SIM application is the embodiment of its promise when fit and proper test by carrying out the "presisi" transformation, namely institutional, operational, public services, and supervision.

"The police must follow the strategy of technology development and the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic," Sigit said at Driver's License Office in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Former Head of Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police, with the presence of this online driver's license, can provide humanist police services and avoid contact between officers and the public to eliminate the abuse of authority.

"It is time for the National Police to show the traffic police (polantas) who are authoritative and respected by the public without the use of weapons," he said.

He also appreciated the ranks of the Traffic Corps Police which once again proved the application of technology in public service after the ETLE.

"Today Traffic Corps proves again after ETLE, then able to change the police service that always interacts with the community, and today the driver's license service that can be accessed from home and anywhere," he said.

With the presence of an online driver's license, the former Banten Police Chief mentioned that people who need driver's license renewal services can be done from home. In the future, he hopes that the application for a new driver's license and Vehicle Registration Certificate extension can also use the application.

"Enough from the home, service of driver's license extension can be done by cooperating with the post office to do delivery (delivery)," he said.

Traffic Corps itself cooperates with BNI in the ease of payment services PNBP SIM online, through Virtual Account (VA) and PT. Pos Indonesia for driver's license delivery services to the applicant's residence.

The cooperation is one of BNI's commitment to provide the best service to the community, especially in the implementation of digital services that are consistently echoed by BNI.

"To facilitate the public, PNBP payment can be made through any bank including through BNI e-channel such as ATM, BNI Mobile Banking and also through all BNI branch offices scattered throughout Indonesia," Royke concluded.
