JAKARTA - Syrians who fled to Turkey during civil war in their country, began returning to Syria after the fall of the 61-year-old Babath regime.
They were at the CIlvegozu border gate in Hatay, Turkey's southeast province, and lined up at the Reyhanli border gate on Monday (9/12) to complete customs procedures.
Reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, to prevent overcrowding, the gendarmerie team set up a separate checkpoint about 5 kilometers from the border. After passing an inspection at this post, eligible Syrians to cross were directed to the Cilvegozu Border Gate.
