Budi Arie: Many Are Ready To Accommodate Pak Jokowi, Especially Projo If They Become Parties

JAKARTA - Projo chairman Budi Arie Setiadi said many parties wanted to accommodate former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after being fired by PDIP.

"All parties are ready to accommodate Pak Jokowi, especially Projo, if they become a party," said Budi Arie as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 7.

Budi said that many parties wanted to accommodate former President Jokowi after being officially fired from the party that brought the former Surakarta Mayor to become president for two terms, namely PDIP.

Budi admitted that he did not talk about politics at all when accompanying Jokowi to the wedding.

"There are Mr. Jokowi and Ridwan Kamil. There is no discussion (related to politics), because this is a marriage," he said.

When asked about Jokowi's meeting with President Prabowo Subianto on Friday (6/12) night, Budi said it was good because there were former Presidents and Presidents who were still close.

"It's good, the former president and president miss it," he said.

Previously, the Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto emphasized that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was no longer part of the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol.

Not only Jokowi, he said that the Vice President for the 2024-2029 period, Gibran Rakabuming Raka and former Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution were no longer PDIP cadres.

"I reiterate that Mr. Jokowi and his family are no longer part of the PDI-P," said Hasto.
