JAKARTA - The Syrian army has reportedly withdrew from downtown Hama, marking the second major progress for the rebel coalition that also seized Aleppo last week.

Over the past few hours, with the increasing confrontation between our army and terrorist groups and the increasing number of martyrs in our ranks, these groups were able to penetrate parts of the city and enter it, "said the Syrian military as reported by CNN from SANA, Thursday, December 5.

Aleppo, Syria's second-largest city, was reclaimed last week by rebel groups after a sudden attack on President Bashar al-Assad's troops and his allied militias.
