The Attorney General's Office Is Ready To Face The Pretrial Proposed By The Suspect Judge In The Ronald Tannur Case

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has confirmed that it is ready to face a pretrial application submitted by the Surabaya District Court Judge (PN) Heru Hanindyo, a suspect in the alleged bribery of acquittal in the case of Gregorius Ronald Tannur.

"I think it is the right of a suspect and we know that the pretrial is highly respected by the procedural law," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office, Harli Siregar, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 5.

As an investigator in the alleged bribery case of the Surabaya District Court Judge, the AGO is ready to face the pretrial filed by the suspect Heru Hanindyo.

Harli ensured that the AGO would prepare all necessary documents properly to deal with pretrial applications submitted at the South Jakarta District Court.

"As investigators and as pretrial defendants, we are ready to face the pretrial submitted by the petitioner. We will prepare both in terms of documentation and the evidence we have obtained, as an answer to the application," he said.

The AGO, said Harli, had not received a summons for a pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court, and his party would wait for the notification.

Previously, the Surabaya District Court (PN) Judge Heru Hanindyo, a suspect in the alleged bribery of acquittal in the case of Gregorius Ronald Tannur, filed a pretrial legal action with the South Jakarta District Court.

The pretrial application submitted by Heru Hanindyo relates to the validity of the arrest, detention, search, confiscation, and determination of the suspect against him. Meanwhile, the Attorney General's Office of Jampidsus became the respondent's party.

"The application was submitted on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in a criminal secretariat," said South Jakarta District Court Public Relations Officer Djuyamto in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.
