Roads In Cianjur Selatan Longsor To Amblas, Police Conduct Traffic Engineering

The police carried out traffic engineering on a number of main routes connecting Cianjur to the southern region due to a number of road points that collapsed and landslides due to high intensity rain.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Rohman Yonky Dilatha said an alternative route was needed by the community so that economic activity would not be hampered and the distribution of logistical assistance could arrive quickly.

"We have coordinated with government officials to immediately find alternative routes so that community activities, especially the economy, continue because handling the collapsed road takes a long time, currently engineering to open and close one direction alternately is carried out," he said in Cianjur, West Java, Thursday, December 5, confiscated by Antara.

Even his party asked the relevant agencies in the center and provinces to immediately carry out quick handling by lowering heavy equipment whose procurement was also assisted by the police, so that roads that collapsed and were blocked by landslides could be passed back to normal.

His party noted that road access from Pagelaran Subdistrict to Tanggeung was cut off because the road runway collapsed, even several roads in the Tanggeung area had cracked and collapsed several tens of centimeters so that it was prone to traffic.

"We are working with the TNI and central PUTR and provinces that lower heavy equipment to carry out quick handling so that road access can be passed normally," he said.

As for the handling of flood disasters in Agrabinta District, his party has sent officers complete with fast handling equipment including rubber boats to evacuate residents from home to evacuation because the water level reaches two meters.

"We will set up public kitchens at a number of points to ease the burden on displaced residents, including sending aid such as blankets, sleeping mats and pampers," he said.

The Regent of Cianjur Herman Suherman, said that he had asked the sub-district heads in the southern region to find alternative routes for village roads that four-wheeled vehicles could pass so that activities, especially the economy, would continue to run in the southern region or vice versa.

"We have asked the sub-district heads to immediately look for alternative routes that four-wheeled vehicles can pass so that the southern region is not isolated because the Ciwidey-Bandung alternative route takes a long time," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the handling of other natural disasters that occurred in 11 sub-districts in Cianjur, his party has sent direct logistical assistance such as to Pagelaran, Tanggeung, Sindangbarang and Agrabinta sub-districts as well as a number of other sub-districts.
