BANTEN - The Cipanas-Citorek road section to the country's tourist area above the Clouds in Lebak Regency, Banten was cut off due to a 150-meter-long landslide.
"We received a report that the road section had been handled by the Banten PUPR Service by deploying heavy equipment," said Lebak Regency BPBD Chief Executive Febby Pratama Rizky in Lebak, Thursday, as quoted by Antara.
The Cipanas - Citorek - Warungbanten road section, precisely in Sukamaju Village, Sobang District, Lebak Regency, Banten, experienced a landslide on Thursday (5/12) at 08.00 WIB.
In addition to the Cipanas -Citorek road section to State tourism above the Clouds, landslides also occurred at four other points in Lebak, namely Jalan Darmasari Bayah Village, Jalan Cidikit Bayah, Pasir Gobong Bayah dak Jalan Ciseel-Muncang.
The cause of the landslide in the road segment was due to relatively high rainfall in the area since Monday (2/12) until now, heavy, moderate and light intensity is still ongoing.
Currently, roads in the Gunung Halimun Salak National Park (TN) area cannot be crossed by two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles.
"We hope that tonight the road can be crossed by vehicles, because the traffic flow in the area is quite high," he said.
According to him, the road to tourist areas of the Country above the Clouds on Mount Gede is estimated to have landslides of approximately 150 meters long.
Luckily, there were no casualties on the cliff, because the rainfall occurred from Wednesday (4/12) night until Thursday morning.
"We ask vehicle drivers if the weather is bad so they don't cross the TN road area, because they are prone to landslides," said Febby.
