Teachers Are More Adaptive To Times Development, Jakarta Secretary: Children Can Access ChatGPT

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Marullah Matali demands that teachers be more adaptive in utilizing the times for teaching and learning activities.

Because, nowadays students are already technology literate. Easily, they are able to access Google to ChatGPT, an AI device that can respond to the answers ordered.

This was revealed during the inauguration of 186 teacher officials within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in Grha Ali Sadikin, DKI Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta.

"Currently, teachers are required not only as material providers, because nowadays technology is more sophisticated, children can access Google, even ChatGPT. However, the figure of a teacher is still needed, because the problems of etiquette and ethics cannot be taught by machinery or technology," said Marullah, Wednesday, December 4.

"Therefore, with the times, teachers are required to be more adaptive, and continue to uphold the etiquette and ethics of their students," he added.

Marullah said that the functional officials who have been inaugurated are noble teachers. Thus, their dignity and integrity must be maintained as role models for students.

"This position cannot be underestimated, so it must be used as a very big gift. Please take care of it carefully. Once again, maintain the glory of the teacher, as a person who understands knowledge, and an example for students," said Marullah.

Meanwhile, the 186 functional officials who were inaugurated consisted of 115 Elementary School (SD) teachers, 37 Junior High School (SMP) teachers, 31 High School (SMA) teachers, two Vocational High School (SMK) teachers, and one Kindergarten (TK) teacher.
