Motorcycle Gang Armed With Persecution Of Residents In Tasikmalaya Arrested By Police

The Tasikmalaya City Resort Police (Polres), West Java, arrested five people with motorbikes who carried out acts of persecution using sharp weapons and blunt objects against two residents on the streets, causing injuries and having to undergo medical treatment.

"We have arrested the perpetrator," said Tasikmalaya City Police Chief AKBP Joko Sulistiono as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 3.

The police revealed a case of double motorbikes who abused a resident of a motorbike rider on Jalan Major SL Tobing, Sambongpari Village, Mangkubumi District, Tasikmalaya City, early Sunday (17/11).

The results of the police investigation identified the five perpetrators, namely the initials NSP (19), and four other perpetrators were minors.

"For one adult perpetrator detained at the Police Detention Center, and for four underage perpetrators detained in a special detention center for children," said Joko.

From the results of the examination, it was known that the perpetrator had a motorbike leaving his house using four motorbikes for the purpose of looking for other motorcycle-like groups that had previously attacked a suspect's friend.

Arriving at the scene, the victim shouted back at the motorbike, the perpetrator shouted back at his motorbike to chase the victim until there was physical violence together until the victim was injured and had to undergo medical treatment at the hospital.

The entire suspect carried out acts of physical violence by hitting him with his bare hands, then slashing a sharp weapon at the back of the victim's body twice, then another suspect also hit him with a helmet and baseball stick, and threw stones at the victim.

"The suspects turned the motorbike around and chased the victim until there was physical violence together," he said.

The police also secured evidence in the form of sharp weapons such as sickles, helmets, and motorbikes used by the perpetrators at the time of the incident.
