Puan Affirms Central Java Is Still A Banteng Kandang Even Though Andika-Hendar Lost In The Central Java Regional Head Election

JAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Puan Maharani assessed that Central Java was still a bull cage even though the cagub and cawagub she carried, Andika Perkasa-Hendar Prihadi, lost to Ahmad Lutfi-Taj Yasin in the Central Java gubernatorial election.

Puan said PDIP had evaluated the results of the quick count or quick count of the Central Java Pilkada. He respects the choice of Central Java residents who exercise their voting rights on 27 November.

"Yes, we have evaluated, consolidated, we have tried our best, yes, but the people of Central Java have chosen the governor and deputy governor," said Puan, Tuesday, December 3.

Although the champion lost in the Central Java gubernatorial election, Puan assessed that Central Java was still the basis of PDIP. This can be seen from the many bull cadres who won in the election for regents and mayors in Central Java Province.

"Alhamdulillah, from 35 regencies/cities, the PDI-P managed to win from the results of the preliminary vote calculations of 19 regencies/cities that were advanced for cadres," said Puan.

"So, please assess whether the PDI-P in Central Java can survive or not," continued the chairman of the DPR.

Puan also ensured that the evaluation would always be carried out continuously by internal PDIP to improve the party in the future.

To note, the results of the quick count of the Charta Politica survey institute for the Central Java Pilkada have entered as much as 100 percent.

Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin pocketed 58.44 percent, while Andika-Hendi earned 41.56 percent.
