JAKARTA - The Regional Disability Commission (KKD) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) stated that it had received a video recording of the action of a disabled person with the initials IWAS in carrying out the mode of sexual harassment of his victim.
The chairman of the NTB Provincial KDD, Joko Jumadi, said that his party received the video recording from an adult woman who claimed to be a victim of IWAS sexual harassment.
"The video footage is there, but we can't open it yet. Later, evidence will still be entered into the police," said Joko in Mataram, Tuesday, November 3, as quoted by Antara.
He said that the woman who claimed to be the victim and the owner of the video footage is currently undergoing examination at the NTB Regional Police.
"What is clear is that this (adult age victim), who is being BAP (investigation report) today, is a new victim who is in the police development process, not from the first three victims," he said.
In addition to video recordings from adult-age victims, Joko also said that there were video recordings of child-age victims.
"Yang anak-anak ini ada (rekaman video). Hanya saja belum kami mendapatkan karena kejadian memang cukup lama, tahun 2022," ucap dia.
Joko explained that of the 10 victims who reported to the NTB Provincial KDD, two of them are now being investigated at the NTB Regional Police. The two victims are adults.
"For other victims, this is still a tug of war, whether they want to convey it to the police or not. What is clear, today there are already two adult victims who want to testify at the NTB Regional Police. For children, three people, that's not yet, it's still being handled by the LPA (Child Protection Agency)," said Joko.

In this IWAS case, NTB Police investigators have transferred the files to the research prosecutor. The file is also equipped with expert statements from the Indonesian Psychology Association (Himpsi) and the results of the victim's post-mortem.
In the examination file, investigators also outlined the modus operandi of the IWAS suspect's criminal act by relying on verbal communication that can affect the victim's psychology.
Investigators named IWAS as a suspect by applying Article 6 letter c of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS).
As a suspect, investigators detained IWAS by determining that he was under house arrest.
The NTB Provincial KDD in this case provided legal assistance to IWAS. Even though in that position, KDD still shows objectivity by opening space to the public regarding this case, including accommodating reports from people claiming to be victims.
