Central Mamberamo Police Chief Hits Arrows While Securing Mass Action Supporting Cakada

PAPUA - Central Mamberamo Police Chief AKBP Rahman was injured by being hit by arrows while securing the mass action of one of the supporters of the regional head candidate.

This anarchic act was carried out at the PPD Office of Kobakma District, Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua Mountains.

"It is true that Central Mamberamo Police Chief AKBP Rahman was injured while securing anarchist action by a mass of supporters of one of the deputy regent candidates," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo in Jayapura, Antara, Thursday, November 28.

The incident occurred last Wednesday at around 21.32 WIT. AKBP Rahman was hit by arrows on the lower right cheek when the mass of supporters of one of the candidates demanded that the Acting Regent of Central Mamberamo not be at the PPD Office of Kobakma District.

According to him, the masses suspected that there was intervention in the voting process, so they took anarchic actions.

"After being injured, the Central Mamberamo Police Chief was immediately evacuated to the Lukas Enembe Hospital in Kobakma for medical treatment," said Ignatius.

The regional elections in Central Mamberamo Regency were attended by three pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent.
