JAKARTA - The Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) has opened population services today or one day before the 2024 Pilkada voting day.
Head of the Jakarta Disdukcapil Budi Awaluddin said that the dukcapil counters that are operating until tonight are served at the sub-district, district, city, and agency levels. This is done to make it easier for people who need population services to exercise their right to vote.
"The service will be focused on the printing and recording process for new ID Cards, which will be directly related to the voting process," said Budi in his statement, Tuesday, November 26.
Meanwhile, on November 27, 2024 or the voting day, population services will remain open, starting from 08.30a.m. - 13.00p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The DKI Jakarta Dukcapil Service will also provide outreach services on voting day for those celebrating their 17th birthday as new ID owners, totaling 458 people, in various areas in Jakarta.

On Monday, November 25, the ranks of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) along with the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) and DKI Jakarta Bawaslu held a meeting to prepare for the 2024 Pilkada.
