DENPASAR - Anita, the wife of the convict Matthew Norman, who was convicted of drug convicts in Bali or Bali Nine, visited the Class IIA Kerobokan Correctional Institution (Lapas), in Badung Regency, Bali.

Anita came to leave food to officers at Kerobokan Prison for her husband Matthew Norman who is languishing in Kerobokan Prison, Bali.

Anita asked for prayers so that her husband Matthew could be immediately transferred to Australia, such as the agreement between the Government of Australia and Indonesia.

Matthew has been in Kerobokan Prison for 20 years.

"Just pray, okay. It's a pity that his mother died last year (she's been here for 20 years. So just pray for the President (Prabowo) we'll just pray for him," said Anita, Monday, November 25.

Anita admitted that she was not aware of preparations for Matthew's transfer to Australia. He hopes that President Prabowo can move Matthew to Australia.

"I don't know (whether there has been preparations), I don't know yet, we will continue to pray (imain only) and our President will be good. We always pray, we believe God will use President Prabowo for Mattew," he said.

"Because Mattew was 18 years old at that time (when he was arrested). Now it's 20 years here, I'm sorry, and it can be seen if his behavior is good, everything. Let him feel sorry that last year his mother died (and) he didn't exist. Now his father is very old, it's a pity if he can't see it, we pray hopefully," he said.

Minister of Law Supratman Andi Atgas said President Prabowo Subianto had in principle approved the transfer of prisoners (convicts) from Australia who were members of the "Bali Nine" group to the country of origin.

"For 'Bali Nine', I will repeat it once again. In principle, the President has agreed to the transfer process," said Minister of Law Supratman at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 25.

He said that even so, the transfer of prisoners should not be rushed because it involves mechanisms.

"That in general, we don't have the transfer mechanism yet. That's why the President emphasized to the Coordinating Minister for Law, to the Minister of Law, to conduct a study," he explained.

The Minister of Law and Human Rights revealed that currently the study process is just finalizing. His party will do it within December or early 2025.

"I can't confirm yet. But in principle the President agreed and we prepared it," he explained
