Ayatollah's Adviser Ali Khamenei Calls Central Iran Preparing To Reply Against Israel

JAKARTA - A senior adviser to Revolutionary Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Ali Larijani said Tehran was making preparations to respond to the Israeli regime's recent aggressive steps towards Iran's sovereignty.

"Military officials are drafting plans and various strategies to respond to Israel," Larijani said in an interview with the Tasnim news agency, quoted from Mehr, November 25.

The Leader's adviser referred to his recent trip to Syria and Lebanon, saying, "The high mural I saw at Hezbollah's commander on my recent trip was spectacular. Netanyahu claims Hezbollah's military equipment has been destroyed. However, I would like to ask him if Hezbollah's troops have brought down their military equipment from Mars?"

"I have not heard anyone speak in Lebanon about getting rid of Hezbollah of political equality; resistance is an important reality in Lebanon," he said.

Larijani noted that Israeli forces had not yet advanced in southern Lebanon as they faced strong resistance from Hezbollah.

Earlier, Iran confirmed on October 26, Israel had attacked several of its air defense positions, although it said most of the missiles fired were intercepted.

Iran has stated it will respond to the Israeli regime's aggression against its sovereignty more strongly than the two previous True Promise operations.
