Fallen Tree, Tanah Abang-Sudimara Commuterline Round-Trip Route Completely Inactive

JAKARTA - Commuterline travel with Tanah Abang-Sudimara round-trip route is temporarily suspended. As a result, a large tree fell and covered the tracks around Kebayoran Station and Pondok Ranji KM 15+600.

"For a while, commuterline can not serve the trip across Tanah Abang-Sudimara. Currently, officers are on-site to deal with these obstacles," KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Anne Purba said in a statement, Sunday, April 11.

Not only covering the rails, but the fallen tree also caused damage to the pantograph of Commuterline KA 2074 which was passing at the site. Luckily, it didn't cause any casualties or injuries.

With this incident, for prospective passengers who have purchased tickets with Tanah Abang - Sudimara PP route can cancel it. Counter officers have also coordinated the matter.

"KAI Commuter will then also conduct operational engineering for trains departing from Rangkasbitung Station and Parung Station only until Sudimara Station, then back to Rangkasbitung or Parungpanjang," Anne said.

Meanwhile, for some routes that pass through the site of the fall of large trees can not be operated.

"The users at Tanah Abang Station, Palmerah, Kebayoran Lama, Pondok Ranji, and Jurang Mangu with the aim of Rangkasbitung/Maja/Parungpanjang we apologize because the Commuterline trip is not yet available because the officer is still conducting inspection and sterilization of the rail line at the site of the fallen tree," she said.
