Former Regent Of Seluma Bengkulu And 3 Former Officials Undergo Corruption Court For Exchange Of Land Guling

JAKARTA - Four former high-ranking officials from the Seluma Regency Government, Bengkulu Province, were charged with three articles related to the criminal act of alleged corruption in the exchange of land belonging to the Seluma Regency Government in 2008.

The four are former Seluma Regent, Murman Effendi; former Regional Secretary (Sekda) Seluma, Mulkan Tajuddin; former DPRD Speaker Rosnaini Abidin; and former Head of the Seluma Regional Defense Agency (BPN), Djasran Harhap.

"For the actions of the defendants, those who blame use their authority as Seluma regional leaders for their own personal interests so that it is detrimental to the state," said the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Seluma District Attorney (Kejari) Reki Afrizal at the Corruption Crime District Court (Tipikor) class IA Bengkulu, Thursday, November 14, confiscated by Antara.

He said the four defendants were charged with the first indictment of Primary Article 2 Paragraph (1) and Subsidies Article 3 Juncto Article 18 paragraph (1) letter a, letter b, paragraph (2) and paragraph (3) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code, as well as the second indictment of Article 12 Letter I of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

Meanwhile, legal advisors Murman Effendi and Rosnaidi Abidin filed an exception, while the other two defendants, Julian and Djasran, did not file an exception.

Meanwhile, the trial was put forward by Legal Advisors (PH) Murman and PH Hj. Rosnaidi Abidin. Having taken a rare exception law, while the PH defendant Mulkan and also PH Djasran Harhap did not make any exception efforts.

Previously, the Seluma Kejari confiscated and installed 19 hectares of land in four different locations in Sembayat Village, East Seluma District.

Kasi Pidsus Kejari Seluma Ahmad Ghufroni explained that the confiscation was carried out after his party named four suspects in the alleged corruption case related to the Seluma Regency Government's overturning land exchange in 2008.

Gufroni said that by confiscation of assets belonging to the Seluma Regency Government (Pemkab) from the land rollout exchange case, it could take place cooperatively and efficiently.

It is known that the alleged corruption was related to the case of land exchange belonging to the Seluma Regency Government in Sembayat Village, and land belonging to the former Regent of Seluma Murman Efendi who was on Jalan Pematang Aur in 2008.

The examination was carried out, because the Seluma Prosecutor's Office suspected that an illegal act had occurred, causing state losses related to the case.
