JAKARTA - The Main Expert of the Presidential Communication Office, Prita Laura, stated that the Vice President's Lapor Mas service is an integral part of the public complaint system facilitated by the government as a guideline for public policy.
"The purpose of this Vice President's Report is not only the program from the Vice President, this is a government program, which means that here is President Prabowo, Mas Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka," Prita said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 14.
He said the program, which was launched on Monday (11/11), was integrated into the National Public Service Complaint Management System (SP4N), which is currently connected to 96 institutions and 453 local governments in Indonesia.
"The report program that has been built at this time is a mandatory program for all institutional ministries as well as local governments, as one channel to receive public complaints," he said.
Prita said that the public report channel was part of the government's policy based on Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services.
Prita explained, Lapor Mas Vice President provides five important stages which ensure that every public report is processed in transparency and security.

The first stage is the receipt of reports, in which reports from the public are received and ready for further processing.
After that, the report enters the verification process, which aims to ascertain whether the report is related to public policy or not.
"Is this report indeed a report from a party that is actually a person, it really exists. Because of course there are also reports that we need identity verification from the report," he explained.
The next stage is the distribution of reports to appropriate channels, such as ministries, related institutions, or local governments. The report will be forwarded to competent parties for follow-up.
In the follow-up to the report, Prita said, related parties will take the necessary steps to resolve problems or provide solutions according to the submitted report.
"After that, a response was given, how the public responded to the follow-up, and it was just finished," he said.
