Tangerang Residents Report Several Fallen Trees Due To Rain And Strong Winds

Strong winds and heavy rains that occurred in Tangerang, Banten recently caused disturbances at several points.

The Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) received eleven reports of residents related to fallen trees that hit settlements and closed road access due to strong winds and heavy rains this afternoon.

Based on data compiled from the Tangerang City BPBD, the location of the fallen tree is near the north ban toll road, Jalan H. Kasa Karang Tengah, Jalan Sector VII Sudimara, Jalan Raden Fatah West Sudimara, Holil Larangan Street.

In front of Ruko ciledug Mas, Jalan Sandong Raya Karang Tengah, Jalan Dr Wahidin Ciledug, Jalan Prof Dr. Hamka Larangan, Gang H. Jamian Ciledug, Jalan Raden Fatah Ciledug.

"The fallen tree is being handled by officers and vehicles passing by are being diverted," said Plt. Tangerang City BPBD Head Ubaidillah Ansar was quoted as saying by ANTARA, November 10.

He revealed that the intensity of rain in Tangerang City began to increase, so vigilance from residents such as trees and billboards was needed.

"The Tangerang City Government urges the public to always pay attention to the conditions of the surrounding environment, especially in flood-prone areas," he said in his statement.

The Tangerang City Government, he said, had strengthened mitigation and preparedness of officers who worked 24 hours and logistical assistance that supported disaster management when it occurred.

"We also invite the active role of the community in protecting the environment and reporting if they find trees prone to falling or others to be handled immediately," he said.
