Bondowoso Hit By Tornado, A Number Of Residents' Houses Were Damaged

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that a number of houses in two sub-districts in Bondowoso Regency, East Java (East Java) were destroyed by a tornado, Friday, November 8.

Head of BPBD Bondowoso Regency Sigit Purnomo said a number of residents' houses were damaged and the majority of the roofs of residents' houses were damaged.

"The whirlwind occurred in Curahdami District and Binakal District, and we are currently still at the location," he said when contacted, Friday, November 8, was confiscated by Antara.

The tornado occurred on Friday, November 8 at noon, along with high-intensity rain in the region.

The houses affected by the tornado include Bendlan Village, Jeruk Soksok Village, Sumbertengah, Binakal and Baratan (Binakal District) and several villages in Curahdami District.

Videos and amateur photos uploaded in the Whatsapp (WA) group of BPBD Bondowoso were seen on the roofs of people's houses destroyed by a tornado and some trees also fell on several village roads.

Until now, Bondowoso BPBD officers helped residents evacuate fallen trees and hit residents' houses.
