MUARA ENIM - A total of 145 houses in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra were flooded due to the high rainfall that occurred in the local area on Wednesday night.

He said the hundreds of houses were flooded with water levels between 30 centimeters and three meters.
The affected areas include Air Lintang Village, Jalan RA Kartini Pasar III, and Lebuay Village Bandung in East Merapi District which borders Lahat Regency.
"Luckily there were no casualties. 145 units of houses were affected by the flood and one unit of the mushalla building in Air Lintang Village," he said.
Regarding this incident, his party has dispatched personnel to the location to evacuate the affected residents in order to anticipate casualties.
The Muara Enim BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC) evacuated victims to the highlands using two rubber boats.
"Currently the flood is starting to recede and residents have returned to their respective homes," he said.
