Ronald Tannur's Mother Becomes A Suspect, Her Role Is A Bribery For Free Sentences

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named Ronald Tannur's mother, Meirizka Widjaja, as a suspect in the alleged bribery case and/or gratification of her son's acquittal. His role, as a bribe financier.

The Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Abdul Qohar, said that the role of Meirizka Widjaja was known because of an agreement with Lisa Rachmat who was Ronald Tannur's legal adviser as well as a suspect.

"Then, LR agreed with the suspect MW that the cost of handling the Ronald Tannur case came from the suspect MW," Qohar told reporters, Monday, November 4.

In the agreement, Meirizka Widjaja will also replace all of Lisa Rahmad's money which was spent to cover the cost of Ronald Tannur's case.

So far, from the available evidence, the suspect Meirizka Widjaja has handed over money to Lisa Rachmat so that her child is free of charge worth IDR 1.5 billion.

"During the Ronald Tannur case, up to the decision of the Surabaya District Court, the MW figure has handed over a sum of money to LR as legal adviser to Ronald Tannur in the amount of Rp. 1.5 billion," he said.

However, the suspect Lisa Rachmat has also bailed out the payment of case management costs. The amount is IDR 2 billion.

"So the total is Rp. 3.5 billion. Regarding the Rp. 3.5 billion, according to LR's statement, it was given to the panel of judges who handled the case," said Qohar.

It is known, in this case, the AGO has named five suspects. Three of them are Surabaya District Court Judges, namely Erintuah Damanik, Heru Hanindyo, and Mangapul.

Two other people, namely Lisa Rachmat and former Supreme Court (MA) official Zarof Ricar.

This bribery case aims to have Ronald Tannur acquitted in the alleged murder case of Dini Sera Afriyanti.
