JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Lasarus criticized the presentation material of a number of ministries of partners with Commission V DPR during a working meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 29.

The working meeting of Commission V of the DPR RI together with the Ministry of Public Housing, the Ministry of PKP, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Villages and PDT, the Ministry of Transmigration, BMKG, and BNPP (Basarnas).

During the working meeting, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruara Sirait, Minister of Villages and PDT Yandri Susanto, Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Head of BMKG Dwikorita Karnawati, and Head of BNPP Robert Simbolon were present.

The Deputy Minister of Transmigration for Viva Yoga Mauladi, Wamendes and PDT Riza Patria, and Deputy Minister of PKP Fahri Hamzah were also present.

Furthermore, Lasarus advised ministry partners to first listen to the people's wishes before making plans that cost a lot of money.

For example, in the construction of roads by the Ministry of Public Works, construction of houses by the Ministry of Housing and others.

Lasarus also hopes that all partners understand well the main tasks of their respective functions. Including members of the DPR.

"It's not that I teach, there are three main main tasks (DPR), the first is to make a legislative function law, then set a budget and carry out supervision. We carry out these three main tasks as well as possible with the rules and then the MD3 Law and the basic laws that bind the main tasks and functions," said Lasarus.

He said the DPR and Ministries often have different opinions and debates. Especially when it comes to the budget, according to him, the commission has no right to speak because it is the main task force of the Budget Agency (Banggar).

"But regarding which priority we discuss about the figures, it is a matter of our ministry not being allowed to enter, it is not our domain in the DPR because the DPR does not have a plan, because the DPR does not have an organ visibility study, it is in the government that conducts the planning study," he said.
