KPK Prosecutor Indict PPK Purwokerto Railway Project Receives Bribe Of IDR 55.6 Billion

JATENG - The prosecutor charged a former commitment-making official (PPK) of the Central Java Railway Engineering Center (BTP), Yofi Okatriza, of accepting bribes of Rp55.6 billion from dozens of project implementing contractors in the Purwokerto area and its surroundings in the 2017-2020 period.

"The defendant received a fee from partners of at least 10 percent," said Public Prosecutor Agus Prasetya Raharja during a trial at the Semarang Corruption Court led by Chief Judge Gatot Sarwadi in Semarang, Monday, October 28, which was confiscated by Antara.

The prosecutor also accused the defendant of receiving a gift in the form of goods with a value of Rp. 1.9 billion.

He explained that the defendant passed a number of companies carrying out dozens of railway works in the Semarang area by leaking the estimated price amount and the auction requirements.

In addition, he continued, the defendant also coordinated with the working group that manages the job auction to discuss the company that will be determined as the winner.

Some of the jobs won by these contractors include the construction of the Notog-Kebasen rail line in Banyumas, the underpass of General Sudirman in Purwokerto, the double line and the Kroya-Kutoarjo bridge, the double lane and the Purwokerto-Kroyo bridge, to the construction of the Kebasen Station emblasis.

One of the largest bribe givers, namely the President Director of PT Istana Putra Agung, Dion Renato Sugiarto, which reached Rp15.2 billion.

In addition, Dion also provided precious metal pieces whose value reached Rp1.5 billion.

For his actions, the defendant was charged with Article 12 letter b or Article 11 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

Against the prosecutor's indictment, the defendant Yofi Okatriza will not submit a response and ask for the trial to continue with the examination of the case.
