JATENG - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin emphasized the importance of maintaining institutional integrity in efforts to prevent corruption in all government institutions.

This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Manpower Noel Ebenezer when confirmed regarding the conclusion of providing corruption prevention material on the Red and White Cabinet Retret agenda which took place at the Military Academy (Akmil) complex in Magelang, Central Java, Friday, October 25 afternoon.

According to Noel, the explanation of the National Police Chief regarding the integrity of institutions in preventing acts of corruption needs to start from internal institutions, especially leaders.

Even harder, said Noel, was the briefing delivered by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, where he dared to criminalize the elements at the Attorney General's Office who were involved in corruption.

Noel said the commitment of the two leaders of legal institutions proves the spirit to maintain institutional integrity in fighting corruption.

"Until the analogy conveyed by Pak Prabowo, if the fish rots from the head, not from the body and tail. What does that mean? If you want to clean it from your head first, the leader," he said.

Noel Ebenezer emphasized the importance of commitment to prevent corruption starting from the level of leadership, in order to ensure integrity in all levels of government.

He added that leaders with integrity, such as Prabowo Subianto, would be role models for their subordinates.

Noel explained that the application of the political principle of value promoted by the leader could create concrete steps in preventing corruption through a transparent and accountable system, as well as providing direct benefits to the people.

"If the leader has a commitment, he must also have a commitment to the bottom. Now today the leader, Pak Prabowo, is talking about value politics," he said.

In addition to presenting panelists from the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, the Red and White Cabinet Retret agenda also presented speakers from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
