Bad News Comes From East Kalimantan, New Positive Cases Of COVID-19 197 People

JAKARTA - New positive cases of COVID-19 in East Kalimantan Province have experienced a sharp increase. A total of 197 people tested positive for the new COVID-19, 170 people recovered.

The spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force for East Kalimantan Province Andi Muhammad Ishak said positive cases outperformed cured cases. This condition indicates that the public must continue to be vigilant and be more disciplined in carrying out health protocols every day.

He mentioned that additional positive confirmed cases occurred in Berau with 21 cases, West Kutai 11 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 35 cases, East Kutai 18 cases, Mahakam Ulu 1 case, Paser 17 cases, Penajam Paser Utara 3 cases, Balikpapan 32 cases, Bontang 10 cases and Samarinda 49 cases

Meanwhile, additional recovered cases occurred in Berau with 13 cases, West Kutai 3 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 45 cases, East Kutai 7 cases, Mahakam Ulu 6 cases, Paser 13 cases, Penajam Paser Utara 7 cases, Balikpapan 31 cases, Bontang 8 cases, and Samarinda 37 case.

"The accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 has become 64,694 cases, while 60,531 cases have been cured," said Andi Muhammad Ishak in Samarinda, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 6.

There were also an additional four cases of death cases with details in Kutai Kartanegara 1 case, Penajam Paser Utara 2 cases, and Samarinda 1 case.

"The total number of COVID-19 cases in East Kalimantan has reached 1,548 cases," said Andi Muhammad Ishak

Based on data from the East Kalimantan Provincial Health Office as of April 6, 2021, there were 2,615 COVID-19 patients who were still undergoing treatment.

These patients underwent treatment in Samarinda as many as 583 patients, Balikpapan with 520 patients, Kutai Kartanegara with 503 patients, West Kutai with 300 patients, and East Kutai with 220 patients.

Other patients in Bontang were 163 patients, Berau with 159 patients, Paser 97 patients, North Panajam Paser 60 patients, and Mahakam Ulu 10 patients.
