Not Becoming 100, DKI Pemprov Will Start Tomorrow To Open 85 Schools, Here Is The List

JAKARTA - Starting tomorrow, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will conduct trials for the opening of 85 schools in five administrative cities and the Thousand Islands Regency. Previously, DKI included 100 schools in the nomination for the face-to-face learning (PTM) pilot project.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Taga Radja, said that initially the 100 schools attended training for two weeks. Unfortunately, there were 15 schools that canceled implementing PTM during the pandemic.

"There are 14 schools that failed and 1 school withdrew. So, a total of 15 schools were canceled. Out of 100, 85 were continued for face-to-face learning," Taga told reporters, Tuesday, March 6.

Taga said, the failure of a number of schools to implement offline learning was due to the fact that the trainees did not fully participate in the activities. In addition, there are modules that are not done completely and on time.

Meanwhile, schools withdrew because there was no preparation. "The Education Office does not impose it because it prioritizes health problems. The safety of students is more important," he said.
