JAKARTA - Two high-rise buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut were razed to the ground as a result of today's missile strike.

The video of the attack shows an airplane over buildings in the Ghobeery neighborhood, in the south of the Lebanese capital.

The missile appeared to hit one of the buildings, then both collapsed to the ground in seconds.

There were at least three attacks in the Ghobeiry area on Tuesday, October 22, according to a report by the Lebanese government-run National News Agency (NNA).

Initial reports regarding the attack occurred at around 14:45 local time.

More than 30 minutes earlier, spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, issued orders to vacate the buildings on social media.

He uploaded a map on X with two buildings highlighted in red at 14:10 local time.

The missiles used in the attack appeared to have come from the 2000 Spice bomb guidance equipment, explosives expert and former US Army senior bomb disposal team member Trevor Ball told CNN.

Patrick Senft, research coordinator at the Armament Research Services (ARES), previously told CNN the 2000 Spice equipment could be mounted on various 2,000-pound directed aerial bombs, turning them into very precise ammunition.
