JAKARTA - Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said Israel attacked more than 15 buildings in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, targeting the financial institution Hezbollah. Israel will continue to attack the group until the group is destroyed.

Israeli airstrikes hit branches of a Hezbollah-affiliated financial institution near Beirut airport on Sunday evening, according to Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).

The attack on the Al-Qard Al-Hasan branch in southern Beirut, near Raff Hariri International Airport, was one of 11 attacks that took place on the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital on Sunday evening, according to NNA. Several branches of Al-Qard Al-Hasan were hit.

Founded in 1983, Al-Qard Al-Hassan was a non-profit financial institution linked to Hezbollah, according to Hezbollah-affiliated TV channel Al-Manar.

The institution offers interest-free loans to alleviate poverty in the Shia community, based on Islamic principles on interest-free loans, Al-Manar said.
