Wanting To Go Viral On Social Media Is The Motive For 2 Youth Gangs Planning A Brawl In South Lampung

JAKARTA - The Kalianda Police revealed that they wanted to go viral on social media (social media) as a motive for the brawl between youth gangs in South Lampung Regency which was thwarted by his party.

Kapolsek Kalida Iptu Sulyadi said those who wanted to fight were between 15-17 years old.

"Indeed, the plan is to carry out a brawl. Obviously it can be seen in their IG. So one in the name of 'Geng Warje' is another 'Geng Kasbrok'," said Sulyadi in Kalida, South Lampung, Monday, October 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

Sulyadi said the teenage gang member wanted to be famous on the Instagram account of the related gang, without thinking about the consequences that would occur.

"Yes, we are all grateful that this teenage brawl can be prevented," he added.

He explained that the location of the brawl was thwarted in two different locations at around 23.30 WIB, on October 13, 2024.

From this activity, the police secured evidence in the form of nine motorcycles, 12 mobile phones and three bamboo blades along three meters long.

"Then at the location, the two police managed to secure evidence of a knife in the form of a sickle about two meters long, iron that had been modified three meters long and made pointed and machetes about one meter long," he said.

For this incident, the police summoned a number of parents of teenagers who were involved in the brawl plan, to be given directions as a sustainable prevention effort.

"In the summons, we emphasized parents to be able to supervise and take care of their children. According to the direction of the South Lampung Police Chief AKBP Yusriandi Yusrin, children at 21.00 must be at home," he said.
