Prabowo appoints Luhut Binsar as chairman of National Economic Council

President Prabowo Subianto appointed and appointed Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan as Chairman of the National Economic Council at the State Palace, Jakarta today, Monday, October 21. This position is a new body in the Red and White Cabinet.

Judging from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, the inauguration will be held at 10.00 WIB. Luhut received a position in the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 139P/2024 concerning the Appointment of the Chairperson of the National Economic Council.

After that, Prabowo took the oath of office of ministers and heads of institutions. This procession was also attended by clergy.

"I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state," Prabowo said dictating the oath of office and followed by Luhut.

"That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my position, work my best, with a full sense of responsibility."

Apart from Luhut, Prabowo also appointed Attorney General ST Burhanduddin, Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) M Herindra, Presidential Chief of Staff AM Putranto and Vice Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qudori, and Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi.
