JAKARTA - The Indonesian Ministry of Health has established six main pillars in health reform in Indonesia. These six pillars consist of the transformation of primary services, referral services, health resilience systems, health financing systems, health human resources, and health technology.

One of its main focuses is strengthening the quality of health services through innovations that integrate technology and research, which are increasingly important to improve patient care and operational efficiency.

Supporting the direction of the policy, GE HealthCare, as a global leader in medical technology, pharmaceutical diagnostics, and digital solutions launched the Regional Innovation, Training, and Experential (RITE) Hub to strengthen the ability of health workers through skills and knowledge development.

Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Director of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Kemenkes) appreciated the innovation presented by GE HealthCare through the RITE Hub. Indonesia really needs a training center like this, especially with the challenges faced by health workers.

"With the RITE Hub, it is hoped that health workers can improve their skills in using medical technology in providing services to patients. This initiative is expected to accelerate the achievement of the agenda and improve the quality of health services throughout Indonesia," he said, Wednesday, October 16.

Elie Chaillot, President & CEO of GE HealthCare International, stated that his party continues to be committed to supporting the increase in the capacity of health workers in Indonesia through various collaboration programs with professional associations, hospitals, and other strategic partners, including international associations.

"Given that Indonesia is a big and developing country, we provide support through the RITE Hub facility, as a center for innovation and training with standardized training programs and access to the latest medical technology," he explained.

RITE Hub has various modern facilities such as workstations, simulators, and phantoms to support training in diagnostic skills and technical training. The programs offered include partnerships with shelter hospitals and professional associations, courses, and internal training.

RITE Hub can accommodate various participants for scanning, ultrasound, and lecture skills, as well as provide access to online training platforms that present webinars, tutorials, and clinical protocols. Participants will also be introduced with the latest innovations at GE HealthCare through the use of advanced visualization technology, such as augmented reality.

With all these components, RITE Hub aims to improve the knowledge and skills of health workers in Indonesia comprehensively.

Mark STOesz, President of the Enterprise Solutions and Partnerships International Markets, GE HealthCare emphasized, the various programs presented at the RITE Hub will provide opportunities for health workers to learn and practice using interactive and practical methods.

We believe that investment in developing this skill will improve the quality of health services in Indonesia. In addition, RITE Hub will also establish strategic partnerships with other services and health organizations to expand the reach of training programs and ensure that the material presented is always relevant to industrial needs. Thus, we hope to create a synergistic education ecosystem, which not only benefits health workers, but also has a positive impact on the entire health system in Indonesia," explained Mark.
