JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated dozens of lands and buildings from the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara Group, Adjie.
This forced effort was made after examining him as a witness to alleged corruption related to business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).
"Witness A as the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara Group was present and 15 units of land and buildings were carried out," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, October 16.
Tessa explained that dozens of assets were confiscated on Tuesday, October 15, the value reached hundreds of billions of rupiah.
"Where two of them are located in the elite area of Jakarta," he said without elaborating.
In addition, the KPK is also investigating the cooperation and acquisition process that is suspected of having problems from other witnesses, namely Aman Pranata as the Procurement VP of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). However, Tessa did not elaborate further on the testimony provided by the witness.
As for Adjie, after being questioned, admitted that he did not know why the acquisition was problematic and was considered detrimental to the state. "That's what I myself asked (to investigators, ed)," he told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 15.
He emphasized that he only sold his company to PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). He considered this process impossible to harm state finances.
"Well, that's what I'm funny about. In my opinion, yes, there is no (state loss, ed)," said Adjie.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating cases of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). It is suspected that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion and is still changing because the calculation continues.
A total of four people have been named as suspects in this case. From the information gathered they are Ira Puspadewi who is the president director; Harry MAC as planning and development director; Yusuf Hadi who is the commercial and service director; and Adjie who is the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.
A VOI source said this loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.
This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," he said.
"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.
