Prefer Pramono-Rano In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, Forkabi: Don't Want My Village To Have A Trasfer From Outside

JAKARTA - The Betawi Children's Communication Forum (Forkabi) has declared its support for the candidate pair (paslon) for the Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

General Chairperson of Forkabi Abdul Ghoni explained the reason for this Betawi community organization (ormas) to support Pramono-Rano. Ghoni assessed that the candidate pairs promoted by PDIP and Hanura were better able to raise the dignity of Betawi culture than other candidates.

"Yes, this is my village, my birth. All leaders are good, but I don't want my village to have transfers from outside," said Ghoni at the Forkabi DPP Office, Cipete, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 16.

Ghoni said that his party also agreed with the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) for one vote to support the same cagub-cawagub in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. Because, they want their candidate leaders to be able to advance Betawi culture as they hoped.

"I hope that Betawi culture will not be eliminated. But it will continue to be preserved and developed so that it becomes Jakarta icons that will soon no longer be the capital city," he said.

Continuing, Pramono promised to thicken the Betawi icon in the construction of Jakarta if he was elected governor with Rano as deputy governor. Given, this is also mandated in Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning Special Regions in Jakarta.

"For me personally it's not something that's difficult. For what reason? Yes, where do we live, that's where we pay respect and honor to the existing cultural roots," said Pramono.

On the one hand, Pramono felt un discouraged by the Jakarta gubernatorial election fight. Where, he and Rano fought against other candidates, namely Ridwan Kamil and Suswono, who were promoted by 15 political parties and the majority of factions in the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"The fight in this gubernatorial election is not a political party fight, it's not a fight like a legislature, but this is a figure fight. I happen to be very grateful that I was paired with Bang Doel, whose Betawi roots are extraordinary," he added.
