Joe Biden Utus, United States Delegation Attends Prabowo's Inauguration

JAKARTA - President of the United States (US) Joe Biden will send a delegation to Indonesia to attend the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto which is scheduled for Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The six special envoys are planned to be led by US Representatives at the United Nations (UN) Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Linda, in a statement issued by the White House, will be accompanied by five other officials. They are the US Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir.

Then there is the Deputy Secretary of Trade of the Commerce Department Don't Listen, then Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of the Indo-Pacific Forces, US Ministry of Defense.

The United States is also represented by Daniel J Kritenbrink, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for East Asia and Pacific Affairs. Then there is the Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for East Asia and Oceania of the Mira Rapp-Hooper National Security Council.

As is known, when Prabowo was officially declared victorious, Biden congratulated him by letter with the official White Househead, Washington, dated March 12, 2024.

The letter was delivered directly to Prabowo by the United States Ambassador to ASEAN Yohannes Abraham on Thursday, March 14.

"I would like to congratulate the Indonesian people on the success of the election - a testament to our shared commitment to democracy - and to you (Prabowo) for your superiority in counting the votes for the presidential election. I look forward to the announcement of the official results," Biden said in the letter.

Prabowo's inauguration as President of the Republic of Indonesia will be held in Jakarta, October 20, 2024. Prabowo's inauguration as President of the Republic of Indonesia will be held by the MPR by referring to the Indonesian KPU's decision on the results of the 2024 presidential election.
